Once you add an operating model, its profile opens, and you are prompted to upload a detailed scheme to better navigate through the operating model view.
You can cancel this step now and upload the scheme at a later time by clicking Upload detailed scheme in the bottom right-hand corner of the operating model page.
To upload a detailed scheme, follow the steps listed below:
- In the Upload process view scheme dialog, click Select picture.
- Browse on your computer and choose the picture you need.
- Once done, click Save.
Once the scheme is uploaded, you can view it at any time by clicking either its icon or Maximize in the scheme icon available in the bottom right-hand corner of the operating model page.
Once the scheme is maximized, you can change it. To this end, click Change and then follow the prompts that appear on the screen.
To minimize the scheme, click Minimize.
On the operating model page, you can change a name of the operating model. To this end, follow the steps listed below:
- Click the three dots button next to the operating model name.
- In the context menu that appears, click Rename.
- In the text box that appears, enter a new name, and then click the confirm icon.
Once you open an operating model page, you can start adding or managing its groups. Each group can contain one or multiple jobs representing it.
Each operating model has one empty group by default, so you can manage it by changing its name, uploading a group picture, or adding jobs.
To add a new group, click the plus sign next to the existing group.
To rename a group, follow the steps listed below:
- Point to the group title and then click the three dots button next to the group name.
- In the context menu that appears, click Rename.
- In the text box that appears, enter a new name, and then click the confirm icon.
To delete a group, follow the steps listed below:
- Point to the group title and then click the three dots button next to the group name.
- In the context menu that appears, click Delete.
- In the dialog that appears, confirm your decision of deleting the group by clicking Delete.
It is not possible to delete a group if it is the only group available in the operating model.
If you try to delete a group whose jobs are reused in a different group of another operating model, you are prompted that the connection between these groups will be lost. The current group will be deleted, whereas the jobs copied to another group will be kept but not updated anymore.
To upload a group picture, follow the steps listed below:
- Make sure the group picture icon is shown. If not, click the expander arrow next to the group title.
- Click the group picture icon.
- In the Upload picture dialog, click Select picture.
- Browse on your computer and choose the picture you need.
- Once done, click Save.
To hide a group picture, click the up-pointed arrow within the group title.
To change the group picture, follow the steps listed below:
- first, make sure it is shown, then point to it, and click Change.
- In the Upload picture dialog, click Select picture.
- Browse on your computer and choose the picture you need.
- Once done, click Save.
To add jobs to the group, first, click +Select jobs or the plus sign, and then choose how you want to add jobs to the group:

- Manually. You can add jobs by selecting them or their taxonomies among the jobs available in the job library you have connected to your operating model library.
- From existing groups. You can add jobs from any group of the existing operating models.
If you choose adding jobs manually, the Add manually pane opens. Here you can find a specific job by

- searching with the help of the search bar
- browsing through the job taxonomies
Before you start, select the job library in which you want to find jobs. To this end, click in the corresponding area and then select either All libraries or a definite library.
To add a job to the group by searching, follow the steps listed below:
- Start typing a job name in the search bar, and smartLibrary instantly offers suggestions and loads jobs under Search results.
- Point to the job you want to add and click the plus sign in it.
You can add more jobs from the Search results list or continue searching for different jobs.
You can also browse job libraries you have connected to find jobs and add them to the group. To this end, use the Browse area. Before you start, select the job library which you want to browse by clicking .
Here you can add all the jobs available under each taxonomy at a time, or drilling down through all available taxonomies to reach a list of jobs and add a specific job to the group.
To add a single job, click the plus sign within its record.
To add all the jobs available under a specific taxonomy, click the plus sign within its record.
If you choose adding jobs from existing groups, the Add from existing groups pane opens. Here you can find a specific group by

- searching with the help of the search bar
- browsing through the library taxonomies
Once you locate the group you want to reuse and add its job to your group, click the plus sign within the group record.
Jobs copied from another group to the current group are synchronized with the original group meaning the list of jobs in the current group is updated according to the changes made in the original group.
You cannot reuse groups within the same operating model.
Once a specific job or multiple jobs are added to the group, you can also see a green check mark within such job record in the either Add manually or Add from existing groups pane. It indicates that the job or multiple jobs have been already added to the group.
You can manage jobs added to the group directly in the group or in the pane of adding jobs. To open the pane once again, click the edit button in the group.
To manage a specific job, point to it, click the three dots button, and then click the command of your choice:
- Highlight. Make a job record highlighted in the group.
- Remove highlight. Remove the highlight from the job record.
- Open job details. Open a job library in a new tab and view job details.
- Remove. Remove a job from the group.
If you manually added multiple jobs of a specific taxonomy at a time, you can also manage a specific job. To view a full list of jobs belonging to the taxonomy you have added to the group, in the Add manually pane, click the tree structure icon in that taxonomy.
You can sort added jobs in the group. To this end, point to the group, click the three dots button, and then select how you want to sort jobs:

- by job name
- by job highlight
To remove all the jobs belonging to the added taxonomy, in the Add manually pane, click a little cross in that taxonomy under Added taxonomies, and then click Remove taxonomy in the confirmation dialog that appears.
To remove all the jobs belonging to the added group, in the Add from existing groups pane, click a little cross in that group under Added groups.
To remove all the jobs from the group at a time, point to the group, click the three dots button, and then click Remove all jobs. As a result, all the jobs are immediately removed, and the group becomes empty, so you can start adding jobs to it.
